Dr. Korrie Allen is a licensed clinical psychologist and board certified school neuropsychologist. Dr. Allen received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Notre Dame and her doctoral degree in Psychology from St. John’s University. She competed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Public Health Psychology and Pediatric Psychology at the Center for Pediatric Research, Eastern Virginia Medical School.
Dr. Allen recently relocated to Northern Virginia from Norfolk where she was an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Eastern Virginia Medical School and on the professional staff at the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters. In addition to her formal education, Dr. Allen has pursued advanced training in Parent Child Interaction Therapy, school neuropsychology assessment, autism assessment, and rational emotive behavior therapy. In 2013, Dr. Allen received the Outstanding Research in Counseling Award from the American Education Research Association and the Distinguished Alumni Award from St. John’s University. She has presented at several national conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Allen co-edited the book Cognitive Behavior Therapy in the School Setting published in December 2014.
